The Month New Hearty Experiences

A new chapter has arrived.

The month of June will go down in our history books as the first month where Dabawenyos started navigating their way through the “new normal”. After months of lockdown or Enhanced Community Quarantine, the city shifted to the General Community Quarantine. Businesses who were idle for almost two months started operating once again and some residents have started reporting back to work. 

The month of June was a new chapter for Malagos Garden Resort. After disabling all restaurant and weekend lunch buffet activities for the last two months, the resort started offering restaurant gourmet meals and our best-selling dishes to the city’s residents once again. And although the resort and our restaurants are still temporarily closed, we found a way of bringing the Malagos flavors and farm-to-table goodness in the homes of our beloved guests and fellow Dabawenyos.

Our kitchen team and the rest of the Malagos Garden Resort staff have spent the last two months testing our best-selling recipes in the kitchen with customer-friendly packaging and now, the fruits of our labour are now up and live in the Malagos Homegrown Produce Website. We are pleased to welcome you back with our hearty meals and DIY kits that will remind you of your experiences refined by nature.

Hearty USDBC-Certified Meals

Earlier this year, some of our local dishes included in the resort’s menu have been recently accredited by a reputable organization from the USA. Malagos Chocolate Humba with Black Beans and Beef Caldereta with Malagos Cheese and US Garbanzos were given accreditation by the US Dry Bean Council or USDBC. These meals together with other locally-loved dishes like Chicken Adobo and Crispy Pork Sisig were launched once again this month and are offered as microwaveable hearty meals in the Malagos Homegrown Produce’s website.

Fun and fresh DIY Kits

Aside from reuniting our guests with these local delights, the team also came up with a fun and fresh way of bringing more best-sellers into your homes, kitchens, and tummies. This month, we also launched our DIY kits that enable customers to recreate Malagos dishes at home. We have five awesome and well-loved kits to date: our pizza kit, pasta kit, rancher’s sandwich kit, farmhouse cheeseburger kit, and farmer’s salad kit. 

Aside from reminiscing the Malagos flavors with the hearty local meals and fresh DIY kits, we also reminisced about the resort’s celebration of Independence Day and Father’s Day last year. We’re very grateful for the wonderful memories that we’ve shared in our previous holidays and we can’t wait for you to celebrate them once again with nature. We’re gearing up for an exciting feat in the future and so we hope that you’re with us in looking forward to it.
