Family Moments in Malagos

The Malagos Garden Resort is an agri-ecotourism destination that has welcomed travelers and families since 1994. In an effort to give you more experiences refined by nature, we have been expanding our services to greater heights. With various Malagos Garden Resort kids activities, we have made our way into becoming a family-friendly resort in Davao City. According to research, the latest tourism trend post-Covid-19 revolves around experiences with nature and cultural heritage. These are two of the strengths of the Malagos Garden Resort. 

Museo de Mariposa. Discover the rich variety of butterfly species in our land. Museo de Mariposa highlights different butterfly related facts, trivias, items, and audio-visual presentations. Marvel in nature’s raw beauty inside our butterfly sanctuary and experience reconnecting with nature unlike no other. This is one experience the entire family will surely enjoy.

Malagos Bird Feeding Dome. From the beautiful butterflies, one must-experience place in the resort is the Malagos Bird Feeding Dome. Still full of beautiful winged species, each one has their own charm to share. This place is home to free-flying endemic birds, and ornamental poultry and livestock species. Be able to feed birds right at the palm of your hand and realize how peacefulness and gentleness nurtures our connection with nature. 

Malagos Petting Zoo. Undeniably, the kids’ favorites. This is a mini-zoo for little kids that houses a variety of domesticated species that they can pet and feed. Adult supervision is required on this one. So you and the others can most definitely enjoy the experience when the kids interact with the rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and goats in the area.  This also includes separate mini-domes for the chicken village.

Interactive Bird Show. The bird show starts at exactly 10:30am in the morning. This is a convenient time  for the family since most kids have a hard time waking up early in the morning. A queue line tends to form during the weekends, so to avoid missing out or getting in late for the show, do make sure to go there a tad bit earlier than scheduled. This show is not only entertaining but also full of meaning as it teaches us about cultural issues and the daunting dangers brought about by climate change.

Lunch Buffet. Let the entire family revel on the luscious lunch buffet of Malagos. This usually opens at 11:30 AM, just right after the bird show. Our homegrown dishes are a must-try. The lineup of food comes in varieties and you might be confused about where to start. You can do it like most guests and simply go from one table to another or go directly to the classic favorites: pork Humba with malagos chocolate and beef caldereta with malagos cheese. The kids will definitely love the malagos chocolate fountain table and will most probably hoard all the churros they can fit their plates on.
