Choco spanish bread

Despite the fact that the great majority of our local breads are descended from those brought over by our Hispanic invaders, Spanish bread is the one exception. It's been suggested that it gets its name from its resemblance to the ensaymada. Both breads are coiled before baking and prepared with eggs, butter, and sugar. Rather than being formed into a bun, Spanish bread is rolled into a flat sheet and twisted into a strong stick.

The twist with our spanish bread is that the signature Malagos Chocolate is the filling in the bread. Malagos Chocolate won a world class award making their chocolate world class. Adding it as an ingredient to bread makes it a gourmet food grade pastry.

Assorted ensaimada

The ensaymada was first recorded in the 17th century in Mallorca, Spain. While we use butter and fresh milk in our version, the original ensaymada did not have these components. Wheat flour, water, and fat were used instead. It had a tougher texture than the cake-like we enjoy today.

We have the flavors chocolate, ube, and cheese. As expected we are using the Malagos Chocolate and Malagos Cheese. But the cheese that is used is a cheese made available just for the use of the bread and not for sale. The special gouda cheese is the common sweet and yellow cheese we top on spaghetti and stuff in bread.

Tablea cake

An 8 inches Malagos Tableya Cake made out of Malagos Chocolate is undoubtedly another outstanding gourmet food ready to be served. The tablea adds a richer chocolate taste, as well as toasted, nutty, earthy undertones, to an otherwise bland chocolate cake. Apart from having a distinct degree of chocolate taste, this recipe is also extremely moist. It remains that way for days! When you're desiring something sweet, keep the cake in the fridge and cut a slice to reheat in the microwave on low for a few seconds.

Red velvet

Red velvet cake is a traditionally crimson-colored chocolate layer cake with cream cheese icing. The cake is made with a combination of almond flour, cocoa, cornstarch, buttermilk, and butter. These ingredients break down the protein in flour, resulting in a smooth and silky cake with a velvety texture. This kind of cake is perfect for people who do not enjoy the sweetness of chocolate but enjoy unsweetened chocolate. The coca used in our Red Velvet Cakes are the unsweetened Malagos Chocolate. This cake is a great Davao Gourmet Food to show off to relatives for its gorgeous looks and unusual texture as a cake.

Banana loaf bread

Aside from all the sugar mentioned above that would surely spur up anyone's energy level. Sugar may be bad for some people. An alternative for that are healthy meals like banana bread. However, not all boanna breads are healthy. We use  wholemeal flour – it contains far more hunger-busting fibre and energising b-group vitamins. Less sugar is used since a swirl of natural peanut butter, a handful of chopped walnuts or a sprinkle of chia seeds are added for brain-boosting fats. Oh, and we almost forgot – enjoy every bite with one special ingredient inside: Malagos signature cacao nibs.
