Here is a quick rundown of new Malagos Garden Resort’s signature food ready to be served:

Malagos Humba

Pork Humba

Pork Humba is a pork stew dish Infused in a savoury sweet, salty, and sour sauce. Malagos has reinvented the dish and added the signature Malagos Chocolate which makes it all the more indulgent.

To add more passion to the dish, we now serve it in a rice bowl. Rice topped with pork humba on a bowl and a sauce plate with extra savory Malagos chocolate is pretty much what it is. Make a difference with complementing side dishes of homegrown mung bean sprout stir-fried, atchara (pickled strips of unripe papaya and carrots) and a soup of fish tinola.

Chicken Teriyaki

Chicken Teriyaki in Japanese tradition has japanese rice wine, umami and mirin to make their preferred taste of teriyaki sauce. We revamped the dish to fit the local taste of filipinos. We also added filipino familiar sense to the dish to make it suit the tastes of Davao food guides

There still is a hint of Malagos chocolate in the dish and we make it feel more Japanese and local as well with the side dishes. We have the same sautéed bean sprouts, and have a taste of a signature Japanese side dish of kani salad with Mango on lettuce.

Beef Bulgogi

From a Philippine cuisine to a Japanese cuisine, now a Korean rice bowl. This beef bulgogi is a pan-seared steak marinated in a sweet and flavorful marinade. Served over steaming rice, this traditional Korean meal is delicious. This is served with the same side dishes of bean sprouts and kani salad. Make a difference with Gochujang korean chilli paste on the sauce plate.

Pork Barbeque

You may also go light for dinner with the classic pinoy style pork barbeque. This is the same barbeque we serve at the Koi Cafe and at the frozen meat section of Malagos Homegrown. Complement the soft rice and pork barbeque with steaming fish tinola and atchara. Perhaps, it would be better to also mix your own soy sauce mix to enjoy the meal completely.

Chicken Katsu

Chicken Katsu is the crispiest chicken cutlet you can enjoy in Malagos rice bowls. We serve this classic Japanese food on rice with tonkatsu sauce and a side of kani salad and sautéed bean sprout. This is best for a wholesome healthy meal for the family. Katsu sauce or tonkatsu sauce is a Japanese-style barbeque sauce for fried meat.
